Job Description: Great opportunity with large medical group seeking highly qualified pharmacist. Incumbent will review pre-authorization requests for medical appropriateness by using established clinical protocols to determine the medical necessity of the request.Assist pharmacy team members with questions regarding how to appropriately review, verify, and process requests.
Ensure appropriate feedback and follow-up regarding provider issues.Screen requests for the Medical Director to review and gather pertinent medical information prior to submission.Pharmacy degree required. Must have a valid Pharmacist license in the State of Arizona. Incumbent must have three year's of varied clinical experience. Three years experience in healthcare industry (preferably as related to customer service activities) as well as experience with data analysis.
