Department Location: Union City, CA

 Responsibilities:

 
Works under supervision of Registered Pharmacist filling prescriptions and according to company standards of quality, customer service and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Enters data into computer system to fill prescriptions and reimbursement/payment.
Works under supervision of Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to company standards and government regulations.
Assists Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions.
Assists Pharmacy management in maintaining good inventory practices including receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies.

 

Requirements:  Successful candidate will possess a HS Diploma/or equivalent, formal training as a Pharmacy Technician with current license, IV skills a plus, excellent customer service, computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook).  Other required skills are basic math aptitude, detail oriented, results oriented, a team player and excellent interpersonal skills, and two years of related experience in a long term care, retail, or hospital facility.
