Platform Technology Experts/Leaders

Description: BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The appropriate candidate identifies new clinical technology solutions to drug development challenges and establishes their technical and business value, and their utility to support drug development programs in multiple therapeutic areas. Key therapeutic areas include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular and metabolic, CNS and oncology.

This individual, along with clinical and operational teams, manages appropriate validation, development and deployment of current and emerging clinical technologies. Provides expert consultancy on appropriate application of biomarker technology in the design of clinical trials. Will use internal and external expertise/resources, contractors and key opinion leaders optimally for development and efficient execution of technology strategies. Liaise with clinical teams and external scientific and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT:
1.EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
MINIMUM:
PhD
DESIRABLE: MD or MD/PhD
2. WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
MINIMUM:
At least five years of working experience in pharmaceutical R&D or healthcare technologies.
Strong technical and clinical experience in quantitative clinical technologies, in areas such as, but not limited to, molecular imaging, US, radiography, optical methods.
Strong inter-personal relationship skills with ability to work in large and diverse teams.
Strong and effective communication skill.
Experience in clinical technology life-cycle management and business option assessment.
Good understanding and hands-on experience with business aspect of clinical technology development.


DESIRABLE:
At least five years of working experience in pharmaceutical R&D or medical technology research.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical expertise in a multidisciplinary scientific environment.
Strong technical and clinical experience in quantitative clinical technologies, in areas such as, but not limited to, molecular imaging, US, radiography, optical methods.
Strong inter-personal relationship skills with ability to work in large and diverse teams
Strong experimental design and critical scientific skills.
Strong and effective communication skills


OTHER ATTRIBUTES DESIRABLE:
Hands-on experience with business aspect of clinical technology development.
Experience in clinical technology life-cycle management and business option assessment.
