Clinical Nurse Specialist CNS

This is an exceptional opportunity for the right person.  The hospital is non-profit and community based medical center that is searching for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to support, educate, train and develop their Medical, Surgical and new Telemetry areas.  There will be a total of 100 beds.  This is an opportunity to work with, and report to a Vice President that will give you the autonomy and creative license to utilize your  education and clinical experience to make a difference in the quality and level of nursing care at the patient's beside.

 

The incumbent will maintain a visable presence in all of the patient care areas and support the bedside nursing practices.  He/she will provide education, unit inservices, consultation on complex patients, assistance with care plans, new nursing staff training, patient care conferences and ethics and family issue consultations.  This person will also be responsible for working with the Vice President of Nursing Services to achieve the goal of "Magnet Status".

 

Requirements:  Registered nurse, Master's in Nursing Required.  At least 3 years recent clinical experience and also experience in a Clinical Nurse Specialist role.  He/she must have the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team as well as individuals in a one on one or a classroom situation.
