Assistant Director -- Medical Imaging (Outpatient Services)


We need an Assistant Director of Medical Imaging for Outpatient Services for the #1 hospital system in the Phoenix area.  You will be responsible for 2 outpatient centers, 3 clinics, MRI center, and an urgent care center.  Manage 35 FTEs.  Campus wide Fuji-Synapse PACS.  Services include CT, MRI, PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Diagnostic X-ray.  Major initiatives include, strategic development, patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction/retention, establishing outpatient services where reimbursement is more profitable, centralized scheduling for all of hospital and outpatient centers, incorporating voice recognition technology in 2006 with a phased in approach, mentoring new leads for outpatient centers and building a team of flexible, efficient staff. Other current performance measures include appointment access, report turnaround time, staff productivity, etc.  Requirments include BS in Applied Science or Healthcare Management (MBA or MPH a plus!), ARRT, 4 years of progressively responsible radiology management/leadership experience.
