The CT Technologist opening is in our computed technologist (CT Department) part of our Medical Imaging Department, located on the 1st floor of the hospital. This department provides diagnostic services to aid inpatient, outpatient and ER diagnosis. We will soon be opening an Out Patient Imaging Center that will be featuring a 40 Slice CT scanner. Soon to be developing a cardiac angiography program!!! Your Position

Responsibilities include the operation of Computerized Tomography equipment (both GE and Phillips). Performs vascular/interventional radiography and computerized tomography procedures resulting in quality patient care and radiographic images necessary for diagnosis of disease and/or treatment. Meets the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination and documentation. Responsibilities also include assisting Radiation Therapist in the care and precise delivery of the prescribed dose of radiation to patients undergoing radiation therapy thru planning.

Our Requirements

* Minimum: Registered in Radiologic Technology/CT Registry a plus
* Minimum: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
* Minimum: Graduate of an AMA or ARRT approved radiologic technology program
* Minimum: 1 year experience in cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants
* Thorough knowledge of radiation safety
* Preferred: 2 to 3 years experience as a staff Technologist and 1 year in CT at a large community of urban hospital
