Job Description:



Fulfills requirements of Scrub/Pacing Position, safely and efficiently preparing the sterile field, assisting the Physician at the table as needed, and pacing the patient in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Fulfills requirements of Monitoring Position, preparing room for procedure, placing patient on all necessary monitoring systems, providing for the equipment needs of the Scrub tech and Physician as well as accurately evaluating and documenting any pertinent electrophysiologic data. Fulfills requirements of Circulating position, reviews records, continually assessing and monitoring patient status, administering medications, documenting accurately the progress of the procedure and ensuring for proper patient charges. All Positions are responsible for demonstrating knowledge of electrocardiographic, hemodynamic and hematological data, updating physician of any potential life threatening changes throughout procedure, and for reviewing records for appropriate documentation prior to beginning of procedure. All Positions are responsible for giving care appropriate to age under supervision of physician, and implementing emergency measures necessary to meet needs of patient. Flexible and competent to work in all rooms of EPS: implant, recovery, and procedure.
