Imaging Solutions Specialist

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Assisting the Development Manager in the management and direction setting for project imaging solutions, including setting priorities, coordinating, and reporting of activities. Contributing towards architecture definition, estimation, and planning of projects.  Providing technical support and leading and managing a group of software/systems developers/engineers/analysts toward project goals and completion. Responsibilities may include: managing project plans and timelines, writing technical specifications, creating documentation, evaluating project results, and conducting code reviews.  Performing application development, as required, to support imaging environments, or for other projects, as assigned.  Proposing and implementing image solutions as technical issues arise.  Being responsible for the daily activities of the members of a project team within a specific technology area. Providing insight on how proposed future imaging systems will impact operations and how current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise.  Evaluating and recommending enhancements to application efficiency and reliability.  Performing role across multiple projects for potentially multiple clients.  Performing normal administrative functions associated with a professional position, such as time reporting, forecasting, and project status reporting. Performing other duties as may be assigned by management. 

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, business administration, public administration, statistics, or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in Visual Basic. Demonstrated experience implementing JAVA / J2EE architecture and related technologies, preferably using Jdeveloper, Oracle IAS, XML, XSLT, and JavaBeans. Demonstrated full life-cycle development experience building complex OLTP solutions with Oracle technologies (SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Designer, Oracle Developer or Other tools of the Internet Development Suite). Experience in designing complex relational data models, preferably utilizing Oracle Designer. Understanding of application performance tuning techniques. Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodologies, especially of modern iterative methods (RAD approach). As new technologies emerge and impact our systems, the Imaging Solutions Specialist is expected to learn these technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies with our systems.  Previous leadership/supervisory experience. Must possess strong leadership skills. Ability to work productively in teams or to work independently; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment; excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff; and ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated success with administrative and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor and/or instruct others. This is a busy environment where you will often be required to work to tight deadlines. Travel will be required.
