Inv Cardiovascular Tech

Overview : Days: 12hr day/36 hrs week shift 7:00am - 7:30pm

Responsibilities :

Responsible for assisting the physicians in the scrub role during diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab to ensure optimal quality care of adult and geriatric patients. Provide skilled assistance to physicians and patient care in all procedures performed in the Cath Lab. Service excellence is demonstrated by consistently exhibiting the BHS Service Standards in the performance of this job. Actively participates in ongoing performance improvement/quality assurance, JCAHO standards and OSHA requirements. This position requires the individual to be "On-Call", carrying a pager and the ability to respond to the Cath Lab for emergency procedure within 30 minutes of the call in.

Qualifications :

Ability to speak clearly, read and write English. Completion of a (Surgical) Surgical Technician program or equivalent experience. Ability to pass the PBDS for ST. Ability to work rapidly in a team setting. Ability to work under physical and mental stress for extended periods of time. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, move heave heavy equipment, and stand for extended period of time. Effective and positive human relations skills. The ability to learn and follow established policies and procedures.
