RAD TECH CERT (FULL TIME & PER DIEM OPENINGS)

Through the use of accepted techniques and practices, provides high quality Radiographic studies. Through safe operation and care of equipment ensures proper exposures of patients to radiation for Diagnostic Imaging procedures. Ensures safety of patients by following established guidelines for IV, oral, and rectal contrast administration. Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff. Able to evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self, and involves supervisors as necessary. Provides professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics while following hospital policies, procedures and standards. Performs other duties as assigned. One (1) year or more as a technologist in a full service Radiology/CT Department preferred. Graduation from approved school for Radiologic Technology. Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Bachelor degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field preferred. Ability to successfully complete job related communication and arithmetic calculations. Specialized Training: Proficient in Microsoft Word, medical terminology and good communication skills. Certification in Radiologic Technology issued by State of California (CRT). California Fluoroscopic permit Certification in Radiologic Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R). Current CPR venipuncture/IV contrast Administration Certificate desired.
