Title:  Ultrasound Tech (RDMS)

 

Location:  Connecticut

 

Setting:  large radiology group

 

Brief Description:

 

The Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures; assists Radiologists with special procedures such as biopsies, utilizing specialized sonographic techniques; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures, sets up patients, operates ultrasound equipment, and performs related clinical and administrative duties.

 

Qualifications:

 Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfactionARDMS certification or eligible and 1 year clinical experience preferred; certification in vascular is mandatory within one year of hire dateARRT (R) and State of Connecticut Licensure preferredUltrasound Experience in small parts, vascular, abdominal and pelvicOperating knowledge of ultrasound equipmentExcellent interpersonal, communication and team work skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced, customer oriented highly professional environmentProven record of taking direction professionally from other medical personnelConsiderable interpersonal, organization and communicative skills to promote an environment of team work in accomplishment of departmental goals
