Ultrasound Technologist - Lake Tahoe

Our service lines include a 73-bed acute care facility, skilled nursing center, community clinic, urgent care centers, pediatric, internal medicine and family practice groups, and home health and hospice services.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW
? Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to include abdominal, retroperitoneal, OB/GYN and vascular scans, utilizing established policies and procedures and ARRT & CRT standards ensuring optimal diagnostic quality. 
? Services are provided based on ages of the population served; neonates through geriatric - 65 years or older.
? Maintains examination data, equipment and supplies utilized in the provision of services.
? Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to identify and meet the individualized needs of patients and customers.
? Assists physicians during procedures, needle biopsies, amniocentesis, renal biopsies.
? The Ultrasound Technologist is under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and reports to the Director of Medical Imaging

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
? Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology
? Sufficient computer skills as are required to complete an online application and the pre-employment/annual Net Learning requirements
? In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferred
? Minimum of one year experience as an ultrasound technologist
? Strong verbal & written skills
? Certification in diagnostic ultrasound/ARDMS
? Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
? Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (CPR for the Professional Rescuer).
