Star View Community Services, a leader in providing diverse multi-disciplinary Mental Health Services to children and their families in Los Angeles County is seeking full-time Bilingual Facilitators (English/Spanish) at various locations: Torrance, Rancho Dominguez, Highland Park.
Job Summary:
The Wraparound Facilitator provides Mental health, Case Management, Crisis Intervention, and or Therapeutic Behavioral Services, utilizing the Wraparound Team Approach, on an outpatient, in-home or community basis. This position leads and prepares youngsters for lasting and successful housing, vocational, educational and treatment experiences.
Job Duties:
This position convenes the Child and Family Treatment Team Meeting; assists each family with the selection of a Child and Family Team; develops, implements, and modifies the Child and Family Plan of Care and Safety Plan; identifies Wraparound services needed; and coordinates the services provided to the children and families by other resources, agencies, and providers.
Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements:
Master's Degree in a Human Services or related field plus 2 years experience working with SED youth or Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services or related field plus 4 years experience working with SED youth. Bilingual (English/ Spanish).
Other qualifications required:
Ability to relate to children with emotional disturbances and their families. Ability to drive to and from client's homes in personal vehicle. Ability to perform clear and concise documentation. Knowledge of Community Resources, especially related to Mental Health field, is highly desirable to make appropriate linkages.
