JOB SUMMARY:


 


The Clinical Therapist is a dual-role position in which one role requires providing a broad range of direct clinical services through MHN’s subsidiary, Catalina Behavioral Health Services, Inc. (“CBHS”) and the other role involves providing non-medical counseling services for MHN’s Government Services division — Military Family Life Consultant (“MFLC”).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


 


Direct clinical service responsibilities include: conducting telephonic individual EAP consultations; telephonic groups; telephonic crisis intervention services; telephonic Wellness and Disease Management Training and Coaching services; MHN EAP provider chart audits, and; face-to-face clinical practice (EAP/Managed Care).  These services will require some evening appointment availability on the part of the Clinical Therapist.


 


MFLC program responsibilities will include: completing 5 deployments per year, of at least 30 days each in duration, either domestic or international assignments, during which the consultant conducts psychosocial assessments and referrals, and provides counseling services in compliance with FFSP accreditation, documentation and service delivery requirements. In addition, the clinician will be required to conduct periodic Critical Incident Stress Debriefings; and will be required to perform at least 5 weekend (Fri-Mon) community reintegration deployments per year within the U.S. (surge requirements).


 


Responsibilities Include:


 

Completes all documentation such as assessments/evaluations in writing and in computer in a timely manner for each client.
Provides regular contact with EAP and/or Managed Care clients by telephone and in-person as required.
Provides telephonic-group training and coaching services for a broad spectrum of content areas (e.g., weight management, anger management, return-to-work, parenting skills, etc.)
Provides regular contact with medical/behavioral health providers and/or other individuals significant in each client case.
Documents client action plans and follow-up contacts made with outside agencies and other health care professionals.
Performs follow-up and discharge planning.
Conducts audits of MHN’s EAP Providers in accordance with MHN QM Department Guidelines and Standards.
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with local Point of Contacts at military installations.
Complies with FFSP accreditation, documentation and service delivery requirements while adhering to MHN Government Services guidelines and DoD SOP.
Keeps accurate patient tracking records for each patient case managed, including; appointments, phone calls, referrals, action plan/revisions, and any other significant information affecting the tracking of the client.
Attends regular staff meetings.
Travel required as needed for both domestic and international
Critical Incident Stress Responder for both face-to-face and telephonic modalities.
Other duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

Master’s degree in Psychology or related field.

 

Certification/Licensure:

Mental health professional with clinical licensure to practice as an independent practitioner (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, and/or PhD) in the State of Arizona.

 

Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in the behavioral health care field

 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Demonstrated skill and experience in conducting group interventions using psycho-educational, training, coaching and supportive approachesAbility to effectively analyze problems and develop recommendations/solutionsExcellent presentation, communication and writing skillsPC proficiencyWorking knowledge of military life strongly preferred
