EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Seeking a management professional to work in a dynamic association management company, serving as Executive Director for a national professional society of geriatric care managers. Strong management, communication, consensus building and organizational skills required, along with attention to details. Demonstrated leadership, strategic vision and supervisory skills also are requirements for this position. Knowledge of social services/health care very helpful.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate all association activities and programs. Working with staff and association volunteers, responsibilities include: organizational leadership and planning, Board and committee liaison and coordination, budget development and management, program development and execution, staff communication and coaching, strategic partner and sponsor interface, conference planning and management, interface with volunteer leaders, members and media. Travel to, attend and facilitate meetings and prepare Minutes as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and oral communication, including computer literacy (e.g., Windows 2000, MS Word and Excel) with demonstrated leadership, strategic vision and supervisory skills.
A college degree with an emphasis in communication, public relations, social services or health care. Association management experience, especially in a supervisory role, preferred.
Proven leadership/management skills with an independent style, high degree of initiative.
Willingness to delegate, but with follow up and accountability.
High energy, self-motivated, organized, versatile and multi-task oriented, self-directed, and close attention to detail.
A positive team player in a challenging and changing environment.
