Remuda Ranch provides individualized, intensive

inpatient programs for women and girls

suffering from eating disorders and related issues

 

In our unique, non-institutional settings,

our treatment teams, consisting of Psychiatric

and Primary Care Providers, Registered Dietitians,

Masters Level Therapists, Psychologist and

Registered Nurses, offer Biblically based

intensive care to patients of all faiths.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide direct patient care in a supportive and empathic manner to ensure a safe environment. Monitor patient?s meals. Report and document patient behaviors, occurrences and conditions to appropriate staff members. Communicates effectively with patients and staff.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational/Experience:

1. High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor?s Degree in one of the behavioral sciences preferred.

2. Prefer one-year experience working with psychiatric and/or eating disordered patients in the capacity of a mental or behavioral health technician.

3. Previous group experience preferred.

4. One to two years of experience in child/adolescent population, if applicable.

5. Eligible to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.

6. Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Behavior Management Training.

Skills:

1. Demonstrates effective communication skills both written and verbal.

2. Demonstrates effective critical thinking and problem solving skills.

3. Demonstrates an understanding of the eating disorder population and how to intervene therapeutic within the context of their role in day-to-day and crises situations.

4. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

5. Takes direction of supervision and can carry to completion assigned tasks.

6. Assesses and applies age-specific knowledge to nursing situations.
