Description The Executive Director of the Colonial Regional Alliance (Network) is responsible for all strategic planning, marketing, direction of work groups, the day to day operations of the Network and all activities consistent with the mission, vision, values, goals, objectives and strategic priorities of the Network.



Major Accountabilities

Responsible for the overall operation of the Network; the implementation of established policies; liaison with the Board of Directors and the work groups of the Network. Participates with the Board of Directors in establishing strategic objectives for the Network based on the identified needs of the communities and organizations affiliated with the alliance.

Responsible for developing and monitoring budget and reporting performance to the board.

Serves as the Network?s primary liaison for strategic planning, marketing, physician relations, public relations, operations, and community and media relations.

Develops, monitors and updates strategic plans and business plans for the Network and works with the membership in the development and evaluations of strategic goals.

Researches, plans, develops and evaluates new ventures and services in conjunction with the work groups in the areas of cost reduction, quality improvement and revenue generating activities and makes recommendations to the board.

Ensures decision-making process that appropriately recognizes the input of all Network members.

Assists the Network in corporate identification and image enhancement.

Represents the Network in relationships and negotiations with external entities.

Responsible for developing activities that add value and enhance the Network?s customer satisfaction with network activities.

Supports / facilitates the development of proposals for grants and special funding for Network members.

Responsible for scheduling and notification of all board meetings and recording of minutes.

Coordinates the functions of the Network through appropriate work group structure and the delegation of staff duties.

Coordinates correspondence with all Network members; oversees preparation of reports for and attends meetings with the Board of Directors regarding the activities of the Network.

Performs other related duties that are in the best interest of the Network.

Occasionally stands and sits. Sometimes walks and reaches. Frequently talks or hears. Sometimes lifts 10-25 pounds. Close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required.




 Required Skills


A graduate degree in business, health care management, public health administration or equivalent experience.

A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in management of essential elements of the health care and development process.

Driver's license required.

Skilled in word processing and basic spreadsheet skills required
