Director of Design Operations

Dynamic Hospitality Company seeks a Director of Design Operations for their facility in Phoenix, AZ.  This position will be responsible for the development, direction, coordination and management of all activities of Design to ensure hotel properties comply with the company specifications in new construction and refurbishment.  He/she will oversee and direct the ongoing design evaluation process (including ongoing evaluation of design standards, policies, practices and tools) to ensure the company remains competitive in the industry. Will interact extensively with members, governors, Board of Directors, senior management and staff to answer questions, resolve problems and provide guidance concerning all aspects of Design Compliance.  35 direct reports.

 

Qualifications:

? Bachelors degree in business administration. Additional course work in interior design or architecture is highly preferred.

? Ten years experience in interior design or architecture including five years in the hospitality field.

? Five years progressive management experience within large design or architectural firm environment.

? Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills.

? Excellent problem solving skills.  Strong organizational and decision making skills.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong oral presentation skills.

? Strong budgetary skills with demonstrated fiscal responsibility.

? Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting (AutoCAD)
