Hotel Sales Representative

The Local Sales Representative will be assisting the Sales Manager to promote approximately 8 properties to the local market by:

-Direct solicitation calls to local business and prospective leads.

-Solicits and qualifies potential new accounts.

-Effectively services existing accounts.

-Participates in industry and civic organizations representing opportunities for future public relations and new business.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

-To identify, pursue, book local business for the hotels.

-To have ongoing knowledge of the competition's product and current marketing strategies.

-To communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure group arrangements are carried out as efficiently as possible.

-To promote a professional positive image of the hotels at all times through personal appearance, civic functions, and general public relations.

-Complete sales objectives and ongoing action plan, as directed by the Sales Manager.

-Provide adequate follow-up and solicit repeat bookings.

-Complete weekly and monthly sales reports.

 

Skills required:

-2+ years in hotel sales

-Customer service approach to problem solving and resolution skills (Can do attitude)

-Strong communication skills both verbal and written

-Works efficiently alone and with others in the spirit of cooperation

-Proven experience in maintaining and building relationships with existing accounts, while aggressively developing new business.

 

Full time, $40,000 plus incentives

Must have experience, expertise in the Mexican wholesale market is a must and ideally, candidate will speak and write Spanish.
