Rooms Manager--Seal Beach

For nearly half a century, Oakwood has expanded into a multi-faceted business catering to a diversified global market. Currently, Oakwood seeks a Rooms Manager for its Seal Beach, CA location.

POSITION SUMMARY:
OAM Rooms Manager, an entry level management position designed to familiarize an individual with Oakwood's furnished corporate housing business. The OAM Rooms Manager will undergo training in all aspects of customer service, front office and maintenance office operations, in order to advance through the management ranks into a Leasing Manager position. The OAM Rooms Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the Property/Leasing Manager, as well the Maintenance Manager, all guest arrival unit placement, and unit quality assurance inspections prior to guest move-in. The Rooms Manager will be responsible for the inspection of all apartments for the purpose of guaranteeing a defect free apartment.

JOB DUTIES:
Calls guest 3 days prior to arrival to obtain: preferences to bed sizes and special needs and secures arrival times.
Daily meeting with leasing, maintenance, H/S
Walks the apartments with tool kit; replaces bulbs, tests all electrical outlets, appliances, phone connection and internet signal strength. Tests keys and locks, makes sure long distance is enabled (if it should be, and not if not ordered).
Updates Burgundy Folders in each unit.
Follow up call to all new move ins inquiring as to any needs they might have.
Market Accessorized apartments will only be released after they are walked.
EDUCATION:
Some work experience, customer service / hospitality would be desireable
4 year college degree
