We are looking for both a Sales Manager and Banquet & Catering Manager at our Newark location.? A successful candidate will be dynamic salesperson who can proactively sell our hotel to various markets.? A passion for sales calls and interacting with a variety of people a must!? The ideal candidate understands that success is based on building and maintaining client relationships.? Personal characteristics include:? self-motivated, outgoing, persistent, goal-oriented.? We have created a great team in Newark and are looking for just the right salespeople to complete the group.? Job Requirements: Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitzes and telemarketing.
Complete a weekly and end of the month sales report.

Establish and maintain close contact with top accounts and target accounts through phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence and entertainment. Assess their current and future needs. Network with prospects to uncover other decision-makers.

Communicate to and coordinate with all other hotel departments and personnel, all sales information necessary for professional execution of commitments.

Develop and maintain rapport with competitor hotel, and Visitor's Bureau, Chambers of Commerce, lead sources and clients. Participate in community activities, employee functions and guest events.

You must hold a valid drivers license, be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.?

Banquet Sales Manager must have a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of catering, food and beverage and hospitality professions.

?

Minimum?3 years experience in hotel sales required.? Degree in Hospitality management or related field a plus.
