Position Overview:

The Accounting Clerk handles a variety of clerical transactions which requires familiarity with the company's accounting practices and procedures in a specific area, as well as specific knowledge of a variety of accounting codes and classifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Verifies internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accounting accuracy of accounting documents.
* Code documents according to company procedures.
* Interact on a daily basis with other departments, customers and/or suppliers on the telephone to exchange information and/or clarify facts.
* Monitor payment schedule of customers and/or suppliers and follow up on past due account balances.
* Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
* Generate general journals and post to ledger.
* Process month-end schedules and reports for corporate.
* Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Adheres to all Goodrich rules and codes of conduct.
* Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 10-key and data entry proficiency.
* Microsoft Excel, Word and other PC based software knowledge required.
* Bank reconciliation experience.
* Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
* Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Good written and verbal skills.
* Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
