Corporate Human Resources Director

We are Horizon Moving Systems, Arizona?s largest moving and storage company and one of the leading agents of United Van Lines.  We are part of the globally recognized UniGroup family providing residential and business move management solutions.  We are currently interviewing candidates for our Corporate Human Resources Director position available at our corporate office in Tucson, Arizona.

 

This position has direct supervision of three people; the Safety & Training Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator, and the Payroll & Benefits Administrator.  There is also a dotted line supervisory responsibility for the HR Liaisons located in Flagstaff, Yuma, Sierra Vista, Tucson, Phoenix and Long Island, New York.  The job requires about 15%-20% over night travel within Arizona. 

 

The position is responsible for all HR functions including Organizational Development, Strategic/Tactical Planning, Policy and Procedure, and Employee Relations.  The position reports directly to the President and also sits on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) which includes the President, the VP of Business Development, and the CFO.  There is also responsibility as a Statewide Leadership Team (SLT) member.  The SLT is comprised of the ELT and the General Managers. 

 

We are looking for candidates with a strong skill set which includes executive leadership, organizational development, training, problem solving, analytical thinking, employee relations, conflict resolution, succession planning, and more. Candidates must have a bachelor?s degree in human resources, business, or communications and at least 10 years of executive level HR experience.
