Located in Flagstaff, AZ, you will join our W.L. Gore & Associates, Human Resources Team, in developing, refining and implementing practices that support and enhance business needs. As part of the business leadership, you will work with functional leaders to manage and participate in overall human resource issues such as defining expectations, performance evaluation, organizational development/effectiveness, managing conflict, coaching associates, retention, hiring, team building, facilitation of training and development efforts. You will interact regularly with associates from a variety of functional areas in corporate, divisional and plant-based roles. This may involve traveling to different Gore plants or locations where Gore Associates are based. In the process of performing your duties you will be expected to support and model the corporate philosophy of responsibility and respect. You will process new hires, voluntary and involuntary separations, maintain and update personnel records and serve as a resource for information on corporate practices, associate benefits and company wide events and opportunities. You will be expected to remain current in your knowledge of HR practices and ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be self-motivated and eager to work in a culture that encourages open discussion and innovation with a commitment to quality. We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications: A minimum of five years experience in human resource management with strong skills in wide ranging HR functions to include the following: employee relations, organizational effectiveness and team development, performance management, mediation, facilitation, recruitment and retention. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Skilled in automated personnel systems as well as Microsoft Office or other similar tools. Willing to travel as needed.
