Requirements:

Position has generalist HR responsibilities for the Fort Smith Dixie plant. Workforce is 35 salaried, 360 hourly. USW represents the hourly employees. Contract will be up for negotiation in 2007. HR Manager is key member of the plant management team. Like all locations facility is transitioning to MBM guiding principles and new HR practices. HR Manager supervises an HR Assistant. Primary lead in labor relations, employee relations and regulatory compliance.  Providing overview & guidance, as well as having direct involvement in benefit, salary admin., contract admin., organization & management development, public & community relations, as well as administering the human resources budget.  Primary contact for mill leadership team members.

Education:

Bachelors Degree Required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of HR experience, a portion in a manufacturing environment. Labor Relations experience.

 

Skills:

Experience with union work environment (grievance and arbitration activities), experience implementing and administering HR policies and procedures, experience with recruitment and selection, compliance areas

 

Competencies:

Problem Solving, Valuing Diversity, Sense of Urgency, Customer Focus, Communicating.
