Payroll Manager
Functional Description:
Acts as the principal client contact by managing the outsourced technical operations for Human Resources Information Systems including PeopleSoft HRMS and Payroll, with significant revenue generation. This includes profit and loss (P&L) accountability, resource allocation, problem resolution and budgetary efforts.
The incumbent will be a member of the Human Resource Capital Management Payroll Service Line. The responsibilities of this position are varied, but include components of the following:
- New client payroll operations transition. This requires a deep understanding of transition project management, payroll outsourcing, and a broad outlook of multiple payroll clients.
- Manages payroll outsourcing transition as a part of broader HR outsourcing transition project
- Hands-on participant on new client transition projects.
- Responsible for designing process effective and cost considerate payroll transition plans
- Additional duties include:
o Participate in design of effective and competitive multi-client payroll solutions.
o Identify opportunities for Process Improvements and Best Practice implementation.
o Support payroll sales efforts by understanding client payroll sensitivities, possible solutions, cost modeling.Reviews and resolves issues affecting Company compliance, legal requirements and customer/Company objectives. Provides interpretation of data and advice to management. This senior-level management position requires strong technical, communication and management skills and extensive experience in overall administration/management functions, concepts and practices. Incumbent serves as a primary contact for problem resolution and information gathering regarding daily work assignments. Incumbent possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of Company policies and procedures to difficult assignments.
Tasks are of an advanced, non-routine nature. Works under limited supervision and has functional responsibility for one or more specific areas, projects, contracts or divisions. Manages a team of onshore and offshore resources and assures adherence to service levels agreements.
Education and Typical Years of Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years progressively responsible related experience in administration, project management and/or accounting of technical/professional services.
Minimum of 2 years experience in successful task lead or supervisory role.
Detail orientation and good organizational skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills
Strong customer service orientation
Specific Requirements:
Demonstrated understanding of development platforms and network architectures as they are related to the deployment of systems. Experience with Hyperion Reporting.
