Program Developer I

  PetSmart headquarters (Store Support Group) in Phoenix, Arizona currently has an opening for a Program Developer I. The Program Developer I is responsible for planning, assessing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating blended or multi-media training programs for Store associates and managers. This person must also facilitate and conduct training sessions as needed. Research, partner and evaluate with SSG ? IS/IT department in selecting multimedia applications, learning management system, and equipment needs for in-house training development that is Store user friendly and is SSG supported. Design and create highly interactive and engaging blended or multi-media learning for store associates and managers by working with SSG and field teams. Evaluate blended or multi-media learning in stores to ensure training is accurate, meaningful and impactful. Conduct training classes and meetings to stores and field teams. Organize, develop and implement blended or multi-media pilots in stores and field teams. Partner with SSG teams to create training in support of new or updated operational applications/processes. Conduct gap analysis and/or needs assessments to assess opportunity areas/good practices in stores that may lack training support. Experience with multi-media training products: Adobe Products (for example: Macromedia, Flash, Framemaker, Authorware, Dreamweaver ? Coursebuilder, Captivate or Actionscript); or Microsoft products (for example: SharePoint, Expression or Visual Studio) or similar E ? Learning products.

Good writing skills with experience writing original content required. Project management experience with ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines necessary. Skilled in web based course design including storyboarding, testing, animation, graphic design and decision paths. Ability to facilitate training classes and meetings.

 

 Bachelor?s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field or equivalent of two years experience in assessing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating instruction for adult learners. Experience with Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
