Sr Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary:

As a key team member, reporting to the Director of HR, the Sr. HR Generalist will provide support and demonstrate knowledge in key areas of Human Resources such as compensation analysis, talent and performance recognition programs and organizational development.  Partnering with the management team as well as providing guidance & direction to managers and employees on human resource issues will be critical functions of this position.

Primary Job Responsibilities:Participates in the development, ongoing refinement, and implementation of policies and procedures and systems for a variety of Human Resources programs.Assures that programs are executed in accordance with company policies and procedures.Develops metrics to track, evaluate, and improve key programs.Conducts training programs based upon needs analyses. Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems. Audits area of responsibility to determine the effectiveness of personnel programs and policies. Provides understanding and assures compliance with the FLSA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action, and other state and federal employment laws.

 

Qualifications:The strategic insight to see ahead clearly and anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, particularly as they relate to business goals.The knowledge and ability to effectively align human resources objectives and results with business strategy.The ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, working independently in a confidential environment.Excellent facilitation skills and abilities to effectively and tactfully resolve conflicts between different parties to a dispute and to lead process improvement teams.Superior interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills to effectively deliver a wide variety of HR communications throughout the company.Strong negotiation, influence, collaboration, and counseling skills to effectively advise management and employees.Proven execution skills.Strong project management skills to take the lead role in developing best practices. 5 - 10 years of HR experience; some supervisory experience preferred.Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Labor or Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field.PHR/SPHR preferred.The ability to travel 30%.
