Associate Programmer - Visual Basic

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Visual Basic Programmer to assist with the design, development, implementation, and support of internal production applications. The successful candidate will be able to meet deadlines, develop project plans, but still be flexible enough to react to unplanned requests for service ? we are a highly responsive team to our user groups.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

?  Additional expertise with any of the following:  Monarch, SQL, MS Access, Excel, and Crystal Reports (or like report writer). 

?  Familiarity with ODBC compliant databases (especially with CACHE) is very helpful.

?  Experience with Open VMS and/or Linux is a plus but not required.

?  Successful candidate will have experience in writing VB code, creating systems documentation and implementing automatically scheduled processes in a real production environment.

?  Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of the organization.

 

 

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

 

?  Minimum 2+ years as a report writer or entry level programmer/ analyst developing applications in any of the following: 

?  Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, MS Access, Crystal Reports, JAVA and MS SQL.  Familiarity with ODBC compliant databases (especially with CACHE) is very helpful.

?  Experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux is a plus but not required.

?  Strong self-starter, problem solver, with strong organizational, written, and verbal skills required. Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of the organization.

?  Knowledge of credit and collection policies, procedures, and regulations pertinent to collections practices a major plus.

 

 

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
