Intermediate Programmer Analyst

Job Description:





 

Performs complex analysis, design and programming to develop Client/Server and/or Web application systems. Analyzes requirements and data structures to design systems. Develops system documentation including program specifications, impact analyses, detail designs, and implementation plans. Performs testing of modifications and enhancements to ensure system integrity. Debugs and resolves production problems. Must follow system development processes and standards as defined by the host agency. Must have the ability to work with Database Administration staff and others. May be required to mentor junior programmers. Technical knowledge required for this position is the following: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, IIS 5, IIS 6, SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, Access, MS SQL Server DTS, MS SQL Server Integration Services, Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, Visual Studio, Visual Studio .NET, HTML, ASP, ASP .NET, SQL, VBScript, XML, Javascript, and ADO .Net.

 

Skill/Technology:  Minimum Number of Years

 







1. Documented experience in the development, use, and maintenance of Web environments and infrastructures.

2. Database design and implementation skills in SQL Server 2000.

2 Years

3. Knowledge and experience with developing On-line transaction based Web applications interfacing directly with SQL and MS Access databases.

2 Years

4. Knowledge and experience with developing On-line transaction based Web applications Using MS ASP .NET.

1 Year

5. Knowledge and experience developing and maintaining complex Visual Basic .Net applications.

3 Years

6. Knowledge and experience developing and maintaining websites that rely heavily upon Javascript.

2 Years

7. Knowledge and experience developing and maintaining MS Reporting Services.

1 Year

Experience must include interpreting business requirements, developing impact analysis documents, developing technical specifications, resolving production defects.------3 years Current Educational Requirement: Desired (not required) Four-year degree with major coursework in computer science, business administration, mathematics, or closely related field.
