Oracle DBA

Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., has an immediate opening for an Oracle DBA for a permanent position with excellent benefits in Birmingham, AL.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, patching, administration, performance tuning, upgrading and cloning of multiple Oracle Applications  Oracle RDBMS 9i and 10g databases, and Oracle Application Servers in a project and production environment. Develop and document database and system administration strategies, tools, performance tuning methods, and backup and recovery methods. Responsible for Hardware knowledge and selecting and sizing appropriate architectures in a Unix environment. Participate in a DBA team-environment supporting mission and life critical 24X7 databases on both Unix and Windows operating systems. Create, maintain and modify tables, indexes, database links, procedures, triggers and other objects in an Oracle RDBMS. Design, develop, code review, code performance tuning and assist developers using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Unix Scripting. Maintain the various Oracle based applications, including all Oracle Applications, RDBMS and other database software and systems.
