UAT Tester

UAT Tester The System Tester is responsible for the execution of AT&T service/feature User Acceptance Testing (UAT), User Certification Testing (UCT), and in limited instances Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) for Operational Efficiency Projects/Programs. Directly responsible for executting test scenarios/cases, raising/working issues through to resolution with Labs/IBM/WCS testers and providing input to the End-to-End Test Manager. Responsible for maintaining test plan progression, meeting test plan milestones and creating & communicating test status. Periodic weekend/off hrs work is expected.

Specific responsibilities include:

Executing ETE test activities for UAT, UCT and limited-ORT.
Leading & guiding other testers and co-ordinate testing activities & hourly progress
Ensuring issues are raised & notify immediately on critical issues (for example testing blockers to Labs/IBM and WCS mgmt as appropriate).

Providing input to develop UAT/ORT entry and exit criteria utilizing UAT/ORT project plan to maintain timelines and track % actual to targets.

Compiling and delivering daily test status to Test Manager for incorporatein into standard report format.
Executing hands-on testing where and occaisonally assisting with overall test management where applicable and feasible.
Participating and providing input to SR Test Methodology approved improvement activities.
Reviewing and adhering to standard SRP & Test management practices and policies.

Required skills:

Project Management with software development/code acceptance testing focus.
Data + code quality analysis.
Knowledge of WCS work centers/operations teams supported.
Business process management and improvement.
Skilled in utilization of base set of MS Office applications.
Skilled in utilization of MS Project.

Desired skills:

BS/BA in Technical or Business Management or equivalent.
Technical/technology (Internet/ISPs, IP routing/addressing, telecommunications (T1, T3, OCX, ATM, Frame Relay), hardware (Routers, CSU/DSU), WAN, Network Design, TCP/IP).

Knowledge of AT&T?s target architecture Service Delivery/Provisioning systems (GCSM, GIOM, ICORE, INSTAR, EFMS, USRP Frame, etc).

Knowledge of AT&T service provisioning (transport), FR, ATM, and IP network architecture and related systems capabilities.
