Sheet Metal Worker III (Full Time/ Unaccompanied)

 

General Responsibilities: Must perform duties and responsibilities of a Lead Journeyman level Sheet Metal Worker III with hands on experience. Candidate needs a strong a background in Construction and Project Management. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision. Candidate should be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position that could include moderate amounts of lifting, bending and climbing. Must be able to communicate well both orally and in writing in the English language. Candidate must have basic computer skills in MS Office Programs.

 

Specific Responsibilities: Perform lay-out and construction of ventilation systems for packaged units, split coil systems, air handlers, air cooled condensers, reciprocating chillers, 250 ton centrifugal, 190 ton rotary screw chillers, and modifications to existing cooling systems.. Work to include erection of metal building and repairs to existing structures. Utilize blueprints, technical manuals, manufacturer?s files and record keeping.  Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and be able to supervise other mechanics as required. Perform other duties as required.

 

Requirements:

 MandatoryTen years experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic and valid state driver?s license.Requires high school diploma or equivalentMust  be fiscally fit to climb to heights of 150 to perform work as required on antennasSufficient education to perform the mathematical calculations required on the job.

 

PreferredCompletion of an apprenticeship program and licensesAble to obtain Security Clearance at Secret Level.Related specialty courses or related training a plus.

 


 

Sheetmetal Worker IV (Full Time / Unaccompanied)

Responsibilities: Supervises and coordinates activities of other Sheetmetal Workers (levels I and II) engaged in the fabrication and maintenance of sheetmetal systems. Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate complexity. Perform assigned systems tasks/efforts to include government directed work schemes under general direction. Responsible for work accomplishment in accordance with published schedules. Determine parts, supplies, and material requirements for job accomplishment. Receive direction from Sheetmetal Worker Supervisor. Conduct on the job training of personal required. May provide guidance to less experienced personnel. Frequent internal work center and limited external contacts. Coordinates work within the work center or shop. Input Operations & Maintenance data. Work is performed in both a shop setting and outside on various types of job/construction sites. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of (8) eight years full time technical or equivalent work experience. Must have Journeyman level qualification. Prefer technical education in sheetmetal systems.
