We are currently looking for an Auto Physical Damage (APD) Appraiser for the Fresno/Bakersfield, CA area.

Job Function Overview

?

Appraises all damages sustained by property as a result of a covered loss. Successfully completes 4 to 5 appraisals per day.? Successfully negotiates settlements equal to $7,500 or less with limited supervision.

Knowledge and Skills

?

Requires a minimum of 3 years experience related to auto damage appraisal.? Experience creating auto damage appraisals with an emphasis on auto body repair and refinishing is a must.? Additional experience related to the repair of mechanical, frame, suspension and other related automotive components are of added benefit.? ASE and/or ICAR certifications preferred.? Experience creating computerized appraisals on approved software is required.? Experience creating damage appraisals related to damage sustained by water craft, motorcycles, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles and all other property types other than family auto or truck.? Interpersonal skills must be adequate to effectively negotiate Fair and Equitable settlements of all amounts required to restore the damaged property to its pre-accident condition pursuant to all recognized industry and company standards.

Must have the ability to recognize and effectively resolve issues related to inflated damages, unrelated damages, poor workmanship and/or any other issues that may have a negative affect on the property owner and/or company.
