JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

This position involves actively managing a caseload of complex lost time cases involving  medical, legal and vocational rehabilitation issues.  You will manage and complete tasks such as scrutinizing both the propriety and efficacy of medical treatment, setting reserves, coordinating expertise resources and applying creative solutions, to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 Good business acumen with an understanding of how an insurance company works and earns moneyPolished and professional written and verbal skills.  The ability to read and write English fluently is required.  Fluency in Spanish is desired.Minimum three years workers compensation claim management experience in indemnity claimsExcellent knowledge of worker?s compensation law in California, particularly as it applies to compensability, causal relationship, and return to workStrong litigation management skills and excellent knowledge of applicable case lawExcellent ability to manage complex medical issues, rehabilitation issues and identifying and implementing innovative rehabilitation programsProficient in MS Office Suite and other business related software
