Argonaut Insurance Company currently has a challenging opportunity for a Claims Assistant located in Fresno, CA.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to claims technicians in the daily management of workers? compensation claims.  Duties include but are not limited to: assist in file set ups, telephone relief, state form filings, requests for records, process approved bills, routine letters, photocopying, mail drop filing, preparation of booklets for meetings and claims kits for new clients.

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:Must have good business acumen (i.e. understand how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Argonaut?s and our customers? ability to be profitable).At least two years? experience providing clerical support to Workers? Compensation Claims Examiners.Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks.Superb typing skills.Extremely detail oriented and organized.Desire to work in a fast paced environment.Ability to work well in a team environment.Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills.  The ability to read and write English fluently is required.  The ability to read and write Spanish fluently is strongly preferred but not required.

?  Proficient in MS Office Suite.Must demonstrate a desire for continued professional development through continuing education and self-development opportunities.
