Loss Control Consultant

Western Growers celebrates more than 80 years of serving the fresh produce industry in California and Arizona. Our association members are the farmers who grow, pack and ship nearly one half of the nation's fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts. Some of the services we provide to our members include: health benefits, safety consulting services, transportation claims and negotiations, legal and labor relations, financial services and retirement benefits, and property and casualty coverage. 

 

We have an immediate opening for a Loss Control Consultant in one of the following offices:  Fresno, Salinas, and Irvine. In this position, you will provide safety consulting and loss control services to our members. The responsibilities include:

 

? Conduct inspections of facilities and safety programs for members and provide recommendations and subsequent follow up.

? Provide and develop customized safety seminar training prevention programs.

? Implement illness and injury training prevention programs.

? Assist Account Executives in promoting loss control services to new and prospective members.Advise Service Representatives of the type of training needed for specific accounts and ensuring that it is completed. Communicate updated WG activities, safety requirements and other workers? compensation information with members, brokered accounts, loss control consultants, service representatives and account executives.  Report activities on a weekly basis to the Director, Workers Compensation Sales & Marketing.

 

In this position, we require strong bilingual English/Spanish verbal/written communication skills. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Pesticide Safety, Forklift, and Defensive Driver Training are required.  Expertise in OSHA/CALOSHA regulations is essential.  MS Office proficiency desired. Some travel will be required within designated territory. Some travel will be required within designated territory.
