Supervisor, Unit Operations

Responsible for supervising the daily operations of a production unit within the Insurance Tracking Operation. Emphasis will be on processing incoming correspondence, insurance disbursements, cancellations, refunds, collectibles, etc. Involves training/counseling staff and monitoring performance (production and quality) and staff needs, along with conducting employee reviews and providing salary adjustments. Incumbent will establish unit goals and objectives, in addition to generating daily, weekly and monthly reports to monitor goals achieved and provide data to management. Other duties will include recommending and implementing enhancements to department procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (college coursework preferred) and 3-5 years experience in mortgage/banking, insurance, real estate or other related field dealing either directly with customers or performing high-level administrative work. The proven leader we seek will have 2+ years customer service experience and at least one year in designing training materials and managing/training large groups of people. Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential in being able present information in a manner that others with varying degrees of knowledge of department processes will understand. Analytical and strategic planning abilities are mandatory, as is strong systems experience. Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in MS software applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required, as is the ability to type a minimum of 35wpm.
