The Marketing Manager/Search Engine Specialist will develop the strategy for, oversee the execution of, manage the budget, and measure the success of Fandango's online marketing efforts, specifically in regards to Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and Affiliate Program Management. He/she will be an integral member of the marketing team, reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, and will work closely with Fandango's marketing, product development, and technology teams, as well as outside agencies and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Develop the overall strategy and implementation to maximize Fandango efforts in regards to Search Engine OptimizationStay abreast of the latest changes in the Search Engine marketplace, derive key learnings from changes and execute a plan to adapt to those changesTrack, analyze and measure the performance of all Search Engine Marketing campaignsUse Search Engine Marketing analytics tools (Google, Yahoo, MSN) to constantly optimize resultsCreate test plans for better understanding of SEO and SEM ? what works and what does notManage an outside agency for SEO and SEMManage Fandango?s Commission Junction Affiliate Program, including affiliate approval, affiliate marketing campaigns and plans for future affiliate growthAll other projects as assigned
Requirements:
BA/BS in related area requiredSavvy online marketer with minimum 4+ years overall online marketing experience, at least the 2+ most recent years direct experience in Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing (Google and Yahoo) Familiarity and deep experience in managing an affiliate program, e.g. Commission JunctionExperience with outside agency managementDeep knowledge and interest of SEO, SEM and affiliate marketing, including a curiosity about latest industry trends, technology and changesExperience with Web Analytics software, e.g. Hitwise, Websidestory, a big plusMust enjoy and be skilled at analysis, data manipulation and data presentationMust be detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skillsMust be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environmentGood business acumen and judgment combined with a strong work ethic, professionalism and integrity.Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationshipsExcellent communication skills, written and verbalProficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of a consumer brand and branding also highly desirableMust be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed (during crunch times!) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needsMust maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at Fandango?s sole discretion.
