PHP PROGRAMMER

Bold New World (www.boldnewworld.com) is a leading Web development company offering Web design & development, content management systems, email marketing, custom software and more.

Located in the beautiful Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles, BNW is looking for team members fluent in PHP, MySQL, Apache and related server technologies.

 

This is a full-time employment position that includes benefits.

This position will work closely with Producers and fellow developers in launching and maintaining solutions based on BNW's proprietary Web software, Mercury. Extensive use of PHP, MySQL, XHTML and CSS. Candidate will also research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions outside the scope of the Mercury system. Candidate should exhibit a high degree of initiative, ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly. Experience with ASP and IIS is also helpful.

* Residency in the Los Angeles area is required. Applicants outside the area will not be considered. *

 

Responsibilities include:

* Object oriented PHP programming

* Database development

* Review proposals and give time estimations

* Provide support and maintenance on existing software systems

 

Requirements:

* Minimum 3-4 years experience in software or website development

* Must live in Los Angeles area (no telecommuting or relocation)

* Highly proficient with PHP/MySQL

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Must meet tight deadlines and work on several projects simultaneously

* Strong analytical skills

* Experience using CVS, PayFlow and Imagemagic preferred, but not required.
