QA Engineer
Description: Testing internal and external functionality of Rent.com and Gigamoves.com websites.
Developing and executing Test cases.
Gathering lists of defects for releases and providing information to engineering and dba teams for fixes.
Helping product management teams confirm that enhancements and new functionality is built to spec for release.
Re-testing of identified defects and confirmation that all requirements for a release have been met.
Qualifications:
3+ years experience of overall website QA or 1-2 years of QA experience in manual testing.
Must be meticulous, quick to learn and personable (there is significant interaction with engineering, dba, product management teams and occasionally 3rd party vendors).
Be proactive and think outside the box to come up with testing methods for site functionality.
Some familiarity with technologies we use (javascript, perl, ajax, html, sql, cvs, svn) is a plus.
