Senior Product Manager-Search Engine Optimization

The Senior Product Manager ? SEO is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and executing on Search Engine Optimization strategies and tactics that will maximize organic search engine referrals to YELLOWPAGES.COM.  The Senior Product Manager ? SEO is also responsible for establishing meaningful progress reporting methods, performing ongoing monitoring and analyses of all SEO activities.

 

 RESPONSIBLITIES

 

? Set goals for SEO improvement

? Identify metrics for YPC?s SEO success, create and manage progress reports

? Identify strategic and tactical initiatives most likely to maximize search engine visibility and meet SEO goals

? Work with marketing and development teams to assess feasibility and value impact of potential improvements

? Work with senior staff to prioritize SEO initiatives

? Work with development and program office teams to implement initiatives

? Track all SEO activities, monitor effects of site improvements

? Provide analyses and context of site behavior following site improvements

? Define SEO requirements for new site products, systems, code languages

? Establish and enforce SEO standards and guidelines for all YPC online elements

? Conduct regular audits of YPC site SEO progress and competitive analyses; issue reports and present to senior executives

? Be the ?go-to? person for all SEO matters

? Be the champion of SEO as a priority aspect for every YPC project in pursuit of YPC business success

? Keep current on overall industry SEO trends, algorithm changes, high-traffic keywords

? Cultivate relationships within top search engine organizations and with other industry leaders as appropriate

 

 

 REQUIREMENTS

 

? Must have a proven track record of successful organic / natural SEO strategy and implementation

? Must have strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task

? Must be self-directed and highly motivated

? Should have a strong understanding of web production environments and scripting languages

? Experience with search engine optimization for large, dynamic Web sites

? Technical expertise in HTML, JavaScript, JSP and website design

? Excellent analytical, attention to detail and accurate implementation skills

? Ability to identify trends, project and analyze impact for YELLOWPAGES.COM

? Strong knowledge of SEO keyword research and analysis techniques

? Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies

? Proficient with SEO reporting and analytical tools

? Experience with Web 2.0 / AJAX technologies a plus

? Experience with paid search engine marketing campaigns a plus
 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
5+ years product management experience.
3+ years experience with large, consumer-facing web sites.
2+ years SEO experience.
Degree in business or information technology or equivalent experience.
