TOKYOPOP is an explosive and exciting entertainment company whose products are published in several languages, reach out to millions of teens and young adults every month and has offices in four countries. We are looking for talented people with drive to join our company. In this role you will interact with other entertainment companies, the entire TOKYOPOP team in all countries and at all levels.

POSITION SUMMARY
Develop and maintain web real estate and support online marketing initiatives

DUTIES
?Using content and direction from other departments, code, test, and broadcast monthly, quarterly and other periodic text and HTML email newsletters
?Develop and enhance mass email system as company requirements change and/or aid in selection of appropriate vendor
?Keep website properties updated with fresh content. Involves page layout, graphics creation and formatting and programming
?Develop new applications/products as required to add to feature set and functionality on company websites, may involve programming and at least knowledge of interfacing with databases
?Work with Marketing team to implement new surveys, promotional pages, and other content
?Work with 3rd party software/hardware partners to keep projects on schedule and up to specification; ensure by close working relationship that products are fully debugged before rolled-out to user community
?Embed necessary coding into pages to create reports via site measurement tools re: traffic, ecommerce, and membership campaigns
?Stay on the cutting-edge of internet marketing technologies and make regular recommendations to management about new tools which should be employed

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
?Extremely proficient with PC- and Mac-based web design and development programs, including HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, Photo Shop, Illustrator, and other state-of-the-art web development technologies/languages
?Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and budgets
?Ability to solve problems independently
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, copywriting, proofing, grammar, and spelling
?Strong interpersonal and team skills
?Ability to take artistic direction
?3+ years in a Web development/Webmaster capacity
?Proficiency in Flash
?Knowledge of standards and practices involved in the creation of online advertising/marketing campaigns, e-commerce and/or email distribution/broadcasting
?Familiarity with exploitation of user generated content on web
?Knowledge of standards and practices relevant in world of online community building
?Design sense/capabilities a plus
?Experience with developing and marketing pop culture products online; also familiarity with worlds of anime & manga a plus
?Knowledge of internet reporting schema to maximize traffic, SEO, ecommerce, etc.
