Shift Supervisor


HSS is a leading provider of support services to hospitals and healthcare entities in the Western United States.

 

HSS has revenues of $58 million and over 2,000 employees in six distinct and varied divisions. Our Denver based company has been operating for 36 years and has successfully established a consistent growth pattern. We are looking for a Shift Supervisor in Phoenix or Sun City, Arizona, who will be responsible for coordination of shift activities for various security positions.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
?Facility Security ? ensuring all of the security personnel are trained and that staffing levels are met.
?Time & Accounting ? reviewing time records for the shift are accurate and controlling OT.
?Supplies & Equipment ? ensuring that all equipment, radios/chargers, cameras, computers, etc., are functioning properly.
?Training ? assisting with changing/updating training guides, standard operating procedures, and post orders, and that security personnel are trained to the competent levels on all tasks.
?Supervision ? monitor the activities of all shift security personnel.
?Safety ? ensuring that emergencies are handled without endangering personnel or property, that security equipment is monitored and checked at regular intervals, and that malfunctions, unsafe conditions or hazardous situations are reported to management immediately.
?Stand post as necessary.

Qualifications:
?HS diploma/GED plus 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention or law enforcement. Security related education may be substituted for one year of the minimum experience requirement.
?1 year supervisory experience in security or other service related industry preferred.
?Effective communication skills including clear understanding and ability to use the English language verbally and in writing.
?Ability to mange multiple tasks simultaneously.
?Ability to lead, manage and counsel employees as required.
?Basic computer and keyboard skills.
?A current Arizona Guard Card is a plus
