JOB DESCRIPTION  POSITION SUMMARY

Radiall Jerrik seeks individual who can create and/or modify component and assembly design layouts; dimensional stacks; component, assembly and proposal drawings with minimal engineering direction and in accordance with customer requirements. Must be self-starter, team player who can meet deadlines and be a contributing member of the Design Engineering Team.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

? Designs products for ease of manufacturing with high reliability that are in compliance with customer requirements.

? Checks engineering drawings, parts lists, and test sheets for accuracy and thoroughness and notifies the Design Engineer or Engineering Manager of any non-conformance within the engineering system.

? Ensures all ECNs are processed efficiently, effectively, and consistently and that all booked orders for standard designs have complete documentation 3 weeks after receipt of order.

? Attends design review meetings as required.

? Monitors and reports status of design assignments and ensures assigned work deadlines are met.

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

 QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent, CAD training certificate, 3 years experience with the primary responsibilities inclusive of mechanical component and assembly drawings and the creation of bills of materials.

 Language Skills

Ability to read, speak, and write English in a professional manner.

 Specific Job Skills, Specialized Knowledge or Certifications

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in order to meet deadlines for long-and short-term objectives. Experience using computer-aided drafting principles, geometric tolerancing fundamentals, and established design standards to create mechanical designs for manufacturing. Experience with SolidWorks, G D & T, AutoCad and familiarity with ANSI-Y-14.5 and DOD-D-1000/MIL-STD-10 required.

 Equipment Used

Personal desk or laptop computer with MS Office software, Lotus Notes and Company?s ERP system. CAD systems in Solid Modeling, 3D and 2D applications as needed to provide sufficient design output.
