Job Description: 

The Lean Specialist will have 2 ? 3 years experience in implementing TPS tools in a manufacturing environment.  This person will have demonstrated success with and knowledge of Pull Systems, 5S, Standardized Work, SMED, TPM and other Lean Tools.

Responsibilities include:

? Implement the Continuous Improvement Roadmap as outlined in the Manufacturing Sites Value Stream Analysis.

? Lead and facilitate Kaizen (Rapid Improvement Activities) on the shop floor and in administrative processes.

? Coach Area Managers and Value Stream Managers on Lean tools.

? Pre-work for kaizen events and follow up and sustainment audits on completed activities insuring that results remain tangible and can be taken to the market.

? Must have 3+ years of experience working in a lean manufacturing or a continuous improvement environment. Formal training and experience with the Toyota Production System strongly preferred.

? Must have a thorough working knowledge of all facets of manufacturing processes, practical experience in a manufacturing environment, and good problem solving skills.

? Shows evidence of ability to guide and mentor others and demonstrates some degree of leadership ability.
