Senior Quality Manager

AMERICAN TRIM is a privately owned manufacturer of decorative metal products for various industries including appliance, automorive, building and leisure products.  Customer service, a commitment to quality and innovative solutions and designs distinguishes our Company from the rest.  American Trim currently has an opening that will be responsible for a variety of locations and can be based in the Cullman, Alabama or Lima, Ohio area.

 

This individual will be responsible to assure that all products produced represent the maximum quality and reliability attainable by establishing effective quality control inspections, tests and corrective procedures.  The following are the primary duties and responsibilities:Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals as set forth by customer demands. Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications.Investigates and solves quality issues with customers.Informs management of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions launched to improve the situation.Creates, implements and oversees inspection criteria, testing activities and procedures in assigned facilities.Develops new approaches & procedures in solving problems identified during quality assurance plant activities.Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within the business unit.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree in technical field with additional class work in management of quality related topics such as statistics and problem solving.5 to 10 years technical experience in manufacturing facilities with a minimum of 3 years in quality administration or quality engineering.Experience in stamping, welding and finishing preferred.Proficient knowledge of SPC, QS and ISO requirements.
