SECTION MANAGER FIELD SVC (D)

Description of Work:
Maintain continuous coordination with GDLS Support Services GCS Abrams Project Manager, Abrams Site Manager and USG Field Customer for all planning, execution and feedback of Abrams ICLS work directives.

Provide ROM and assist GCS Abrams Project Manager in the preparation of proposals for Abrams ICLS Contracts.

Manage on-site execution of all GDLS ICLS work directives.

Schedule labor requirements, assist in hiring, and then manage, motivate, train and supervise approximately 175 maintenance and supply personnel at multiple sites worldwide.

Coordinate the procurement and on-site availability of all required components and parts for execution of Abrams ICLS work directives.

Coordinate with on-site USG personnel and GDLS Staff for all required equipment, facilities, services and supplies for execution of ICLS work directives.

Prepare vehicle and subassembly maintenance instructional documentation.

Establish and enforce quality controls for strict execution of ICLS work directives.

Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Ensure that employees meet all GDLS and work directive training requirements.

Maintain an ICLS maintenance data base.

Perform other duties as required to meet GDLS business objectives.







Job Requirements:
Must have 10-14 years military service experience managing and supervising large groups of personnel and Abrams family of vehicle maintenance up to and including battalion level.

Must have extensive knowledge of current USG maintenance and supply procedures.

Must be able to coordinate with and maintain productive business relations with key personnel, battalion, brigade, division and higher levels of the US Army and USMC.

Prior experience as an Abrams or Maintenance Battalion Commander Preferred.

Must work effectively in a team -oriented structure with GDLS and USG staff in field, office, and environments both on and off military installations.

Must meet ASR guidelines for driver's station entry as described in Standard Practice 2-644 and be able to climb onto and into enclosed military vehicles.

Must be able to successfully meet pre-deployment medical/CRC requirements.

Must posses a valid driver's license and be able to obtain an international driver's license.

Must possess or be able to qualify for a USG security clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport and work visa status.

Must be available to travel globally to support customer requirements.

Working level expertise on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
