Software Engineer IV (4571)

Supports preparation of detailed specifications for programs. Codes, tests, and debugs documents and maintains programs using project specific development environments, debuggers, operating systems, and configuration management practices and procedures. Provides program support to include testing, debugging, and providing software updates to correct problems or enhance software capabilities. Works closely with end-user to identify project or software shortfalls, problems, or improvements in a timely manner. Applies knowledge of current technologies and applicable emerging technologies to assigned duties.

Required Skills:
Skilled at managing large teams involved in multiple complex computer modeling and simulation projects.
Skilled at leading teams in complex computer system design and formulation; Develop, design and manage complex computer simulation projects.
Skilled at configuration managment; possess knowledge of and use CMMI and Web-based applications and enviorments to develop modeling and simulations in support of customer requirments.
Ability to teams in accomplishment of assigned projects. Specific knowledge in computer language coding, testing and debuging. Software application installation and maintenence.
Ability to apply rapid prototype software development processes.
Skill at working with customer in design and preparation of computer coding specifications and software performance management. Skilled in the use of MS Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access and Project).
Possess skills in preparing and delivering oral presentations to high level customer representatives.


Required Experience:

Master's degree with the Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study in computer science or other math-based discipline and at least ten years of task related experience in military modeling and simulations.
