Supply Technician, Senior

Job Location: Kuwait

 

Purpose: Under the supervision of the DS Multi Class SSA Supervisor, supervises the warehouse receipt, storage, and issue of material.

Supervisory Role: Supervises 5 US and 20 Eastern personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Instructs the western personnel in equipment maintenance and operation for Electric and Fuel operated forklifts up to 34K.
2. Instructs the western personnel in equipment maintenance and operation for tractor and trailers up to 30T.
3. Knowledgeable in receipt, storage, issue procedures using the SARSS system
4. Process equipment and supplies being turned in by customers using both automated and manual procedures.
5. Edits all customer paperwork for correctness and completeness prior to accepting material.
6. Knowledgeable in the Storage of Packaged Petroleum Products (IIIP) based upon product compatibility.
7. Knowledgeable in Shelf Life procedures for all material that has a shelf life. i.e. IIIP, rubber items, and some construction materials (CL IV)
8. Knowledgeable in the storage CL IV
9. Knowledgeable in storage of Rations (Class I) i.e. Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), Utilized Group Rations (UGR), and Religious Meals.
10. Able to inspect CL I storage facilities for rodent and insect infestation and take corrective actions.
11. Proper usage/storage of Air Force Pallets (463L).
12. Perform inspections of facilities to determine safety deficiencies that need to be corrected.
13. Perform/instruct personnel in the proper performance of conducting location surveys and inventories.
14. Performs spot checks of employee time sheets to ensure compliance of company policy.
15. Instructs/checks personnel performing issue task to ensure that only material belonging to the customer is issued.
16. Checks the issue section to ensure that material is placed in the correct customer bin.
17. Ensures that customers are picking up supplies within 3 days and notifying those that are delinquent.
18. Perform Trans-in/Trans-out procedures in the SARSS System.
19. Post Inventories to SARSS
20. Generate Inventories
21. Conduct causative research for Inventory Adjustment Reports
22. Conduct Close ? Out procedures in SARSS
23. Conduct Back of the SARSS System
24. Knowledgeable in fire, safety and security procedures
25. Performs any other related tasks as assigned




Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent

2. Experience: 1-3 years of general experience in accounting, warehousing, and/or inventory control. Military experience in MOS (92A) preferred. Experience in operating heavy trucks and MHE.

3. Specialized knowledge: Skilled in use of PC computers. Strong knowledge of all SARSS processes and warehouse operations. Preferred knowledge of ULLS-4.

4. Skills: Must have or be able to obtain an US Government Motor Vehicle Operator?s Identification Card (OF-346) capable of operating all MHE and vehicles up to a 5 ton Tractor-Trailer.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
1. Office and Warehouse Environment. Work Schedule: 48 hours per week, Saturday through Tuesday, Hours: 5:30 AM to 4:30PM, Wednesday 5:30AM to 2:30PM. Some overtime may be required. Work hours may very due to shift work requirements.
2. Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office and warehouse environment.
3. Harsh outdoor environment on occasions and must be able to lift 70 lbs
